Majatalo Sonachan House

This small, friendly, licensed bed & breakfast offers comfortable, well-appointed accommodation in a quiet, elevated position at the top of a hill, close to all that the delightful seaside towns of Paignton and Goodrington have to offer. We are located in a quiet area of Paignton in Torbay, South Devon, the heart of the English Riviera, where you can settle into the sound of the birds but being close enough to all the local areas and attractions that the English Riviera has to offer! From Sonachan House you can walk to two lovely beaches (Paignton & Goodrington) and to the South West Coast Path within 5 to 10 minutes. Paignton Zoo is 5 minutes away by car. Paignton town centre and the Dartmouth Steam Railway are also only a 10 minute walk away. Our accommodation can offer 9 en-suite bedrooms with a choice of rooms including single, double, superior double and family suites sleeping up to five (2 adults & 3 children, minimum 8 year age restriction ) all on a room only basis with an optional supplementary hamper style breakfast. All our rooms are centrally heated and equipped with tea & coffee making facilities, flat screen smart TV's, mini-fridge, hair dryer, quality white bed linen & white fluffy towels, complimentary shampoo & shower gel in our new environmentally friendly refillable pumps and cool air fans for those summer nights. We also have a limited number of mobile air conditioning units we can offer guests. Sonachan House has free complimentary Wifi through out the building including all guest bedrooms. We can also provide free secure private off road parking to the rear of the building, in our on site car park which can accommodate 6 cars or small vans on a first parked basis (not suitable for vehicles bigger than a SWB transit). There is also ample free on road parking outside the building. We have a well stocked bar including a selection of Real Ales from Paignton’s local Bays Brewery. We also sell their Windfall Cider made from 100% West Country apples. (Please Note: The bar is only available on a pre-arranged basis for group bookings) You are more than welcome to relax in our guest lounge with its comfy seating and large screen digital smart TV. There are also plenty of toys and games for those rare wet days, or to keep the children amused. Guests are also welcome to enjoy our gardens, including our fantastic deck, where you can relax and take in the peace & quiet. Our aim is to ensure your stay is a stress free, relaxed and enjoyable one.
