Holzhotel Forsthofalm

At 1,050 metres above sea level, the eco-friendly Holzhotel Forsthofalm offers direct access to ski slopes, hiking and mountain bike trails. Set above Leogang, it features unique wooden architecture, an award-winning restaurant, and the Sky Spa on the rooftop. Internet access as well as free yoga and fitness classes are offered free of charge. The Sky Spa offers 360-degree views, individual relaxation areas, a fireplace lounge, a hammock room, the SPAbar, and a cardio fitness room with floor-to-ceiling windows. An organic herbal sauna, Finnish sauna, salt steam bath, and vitamin bar are also available. The panoramic rooftop bathtub, the sauna, and the steam room can be booked for private use. Massages and beauty treatments based on local herbs and traditions are also offered. The Kukka restaurant offers vegan, vegetarian, meat and fish dishes, prepared in the open-view kitchen or on the charcoal barbecue. The daily buffet breakfast, the afternoon snack and the 6-course dinner mainly consist of organic ingredients produced regionally, including home-made bread and smoothies. Guided hikes are offered in summer. A public outdoor pool and a swimming lake are close by. In winter, snowshoe hiking and tobogganing are available. During summer, the room rate includes the Löwen Card, which comprises many free benefits and reductions in the Leogang-Saalfelden region. The Holzhotel Forsthofalm was awarded the EU Ecolabel 2012 and the Aphrodite Spa Award for Ecology and Sustainability.
